Questions worth asking

Does Qora hold my money?: Not if you connect your own Fonepay account — then Fonepay settles straight into your bank and your sales never enter a Qora account. If you don't have one, you can choose Collect with Qora instead: we collect on your behalf under a signed agreement, hold the balance for you, and pay it out to your bank when you ask. You can see every rupee we hold for you in your dashboard.
What is the prepaid credit for?: For what you owe Qora — the monthly subscription and, on your own Fonepay account, the per-payment software fee. On Collect with Qora the fee is taken from each payment before it reaches your balance instead, so there is nothing extra to top up for it.
What do I need from Fonepay?: A Fonepay merchant account, and that is all. You connect it to Qora once from Settings and we walk you through it — it takes a couple of minutes. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and used only to mint QRs on your own account.
Can I try it before verifying my business?: Yes. Test keys are issued at signup and work immediately. You can build and ship your whole integration in test mode; verification is only needed to switch on live payments.
What happens if my credit runs out?: Payments keep working. The balance simply goes negative and we ask you to top it up. Failing a real customer payment over our own invoice would be the wrong trade.
